Inspired at the Paris Flea Market by a French work in the style of profil perdu, or—Lost Profile—the studio was born from the concept of this painting technique, in which an artist must say more with their paintbrush using less information.

Lost Profile Studio was launched in 2017 by artist, collector and designer Oliver Wilcox.
Lost Profile designs and fabricates a restrained collection of Art Deco and Industrial-inspired lighting, furniture and hardware. The studio also trades in a particularly bleak dialect of furniture, art, objects and antiques which are sourced in Australia, USA, and Europe.
The studio and showroom is located in Coburg North, Melbourne, Australia.
