The Arundel Sculptural Mirror is a contemporary hand sculpted plaster mirror, dramatic in its scale and in its simplified cut-out shape. The distinctive curving outline and the overall symmetry of the piece pays tribute to the heraldic heritage and style of Elizabethan times, from the popular curved gables of 16th and 17th century grand country houses, down to the shapes found on buckles and rapiers.

Martin Huxford’s contemporary design radically simplifies these references, stripping them of their elaborate decorative features for a smoothly detailed surface and simple outline.
