The Cerne lamp series is a new collection of handbuilt sculptural lamps, inspired by the mythic power of Britain's ancient cultural and physical landscape. The pieces embody this storied past, and are a potent interplay of the innately ancient expressed in a modern style. Textured, elemental and a potent mix of the modern and the mythic, the Cerne lamp is a hand sculpted design. Working initially in plaster, Martin uses this traditional material to build and refine the final form.
