The Lawrence is inspired by the old knob and tube wiring in homes in the early 20th century. Similar to porcelain wire insulation, the Lawrence is wrapped in slip cast terracotta that has been glazed for a touch of color and playfulness. The 3-dimensional starburst and pendants are completed with hand-blown glass and solid brass construction.

Each terracotta piece is cast by hand, glazed, and fired in the Pax Lighting studio. Brass is also finished by hand in-house. Because of the handmade nature of each fixture, anticipate slight variations in the finish of the product.
